Arrived at my "base" here in Vliho in massive heat and windless. The water was 29 degrees warm, but nice to swim in. While I was sitting and preparing the cooking, I suddenly heard something close the boat that was sculpting and like breathing. There was a large sea turtle just 4 meters from the boat. However, it quickly dived back down, but it was a great experience. It was at least 1 meter big. Half an hour later there was another one - but further away. I subsequently spoke to 2 local kayakers who came by. They had a few days ago photographed one so they could confirm that there were quite a few sea turtles in the bay. I did not manage to photograph anything, but that's ok too.

Sea turtles are apparently very common and especially on beaches on the two islands south of Itacha they go up and lay eggs for the time being. There should be a total of 7 species in the area, of which 3 types are common. These are very popular animals and people take great care not to disturb them. On the beaches, volunteers put up small sticks by the nests so you won't ruin them. So it's pretty wild.
